This majestic tree stands intimidatingly tall as it basks in glorious sunlight, its Strength undeniable, its fragility hidden within the depths of a River where its roots cling to the unstable banks, beaten by a never ending barrage of water, daring the tree to falter, the flow slowly corroding the bank where this majestic tree secretly struggles to stand upright.

When I painted this piece, I was encouraged to realize that we all at some point feel this way. Strong in the eyes of our piers, yet inside, tilting on the edge of disaster. I realized that not being able to express those feelings of fear isn't being strong, as we are all quite fragile. In fact, most of us are too proud or scared to admit that we struggle. I am learning that true strength comes from showing your vulnerability.
